| When connected via Twinax, the AS/400 queries the IPDS printer about the printer's capabilities.
When the same printer is connected via Ethernet the printer tells the host what its capabilities are. So when an IPDS printer is connected via Ethernet, in order to change forms length the printer itself must have the correct form length set. Then the printer will tell the 400 the length of the form. Another option is to set 'Page Size Control' in the PSF configuration. This option will then honor the page size sent down in the printer file. |
