| Ethernet uses 4 pairs of wires, defined as follows:
1 & 2 Send and recieve 4 & 5 Send and recieve 3 & 6 Termination 7 & 8 Termination Ethernet connection and communication can exist without the two pair of termination connections but we recommend all eight wires be used. |
